Dimension Data’s report about Speech Self Service perception gap between consumers and vendors

This insteresting 2007’s summer study published by Dimension Data (in collaboration with Cisco) on the perception gap between “vendors” (developers, system integrators, voice application developers, and speech technology vendors) and “consumers” of speech-enabled self service solutions helps better understanding the business opportunities with IVR. Conclusion, we need to listen more about user’s requirements and needs before building a speech self service. Of course, that may not be a revelation to anyone who seriously engages in voice user interface design. VoiceXML accounts management with VXI*

Most of VXI* services need to share different VoiceXML applications and manage port capacity between them. VXI* allows to create special accounts to have a easy maintenance of your inbound/outbound lines and IVR/IVVR services. VoiceXML based IVR are leading the market’s evolution

According to last 2008 Datamonitor‘s report and a referenced DestinationCRM‘s article, global investment in IVR licenses will increase from $475 million in 2006 to $845 million by 2012, in large part due to the adoption of VoiceXML. In a shift away from open-standard IVR platforms, these new statistics show approximately 69 percent of all IVR shipments will be VoiceXML-based platforms. Web publishing demo for 3G mobiles phones

We are please to present an interesting demo using a 3G VoiceXML application with VXI* 3.0 platforms. This IVVR video portal will allow you to record easily a video in real time during the videocall. The content is automatically posted to a web server in 3GP and FLV formats to be played by a simple video flash player. To test the demo, you just need to get a 3G mobile phone (with camera) and ensure you have 3G coverage with your operator (some countries may not have 3G coverage everywhere, this service is connected to Spain local PSTN/ISDN 3G network).
